Pasture to plate is the foundation of our beef program. From birth to finishing our herd remains on rangeland that we manage with rotational grazing. During the winter months and calving season, we feed grass, legume and pre-grain state hay. Salt and mineral supplements are provided through out the year as well as protein supplements during the late fall season and during finishing as needed. Our target harvest weight is 1100-1200 pounds to achieve optimal quality, flavor, tenderness and marbling.
We source our beef primarily from our own herd and G&G Livestock. When necessary, we purchase animals that fit into our program from neighbors, friends and family. Purchasing beef at a fair price is one of our favorite parts of this business; producers pour their blood, sweat and tears into raising livestock and we are proud to pay them for that effort.
